“I aspire to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings"
Do not withdraw your consciousness, but let it go free.
Do not crave anything, but rest in openness.
Do not focus on an object, but rest in openness.
Do not engage in many tasks, but rest in being present.
Without trying to direct the mind,
Let it be without ground, like the intervening space.
Without thinking of the past, future, or present,
Let your consciousness be fresh.

ASPIRATION
May what I’m about to do yield favorable results.
May it give me the capacity to benefit others.
May it help me overcome ignorance and limitation.
May it clear away all obstacles on the path.
May it lead me to the union of wisdom and compassion.
OM AH HUM SO HA
SEVEN BRANCH PRAYER
I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, and generate Great Purpose for the benefit of all. I confess my transgressions and abandoned commitments and rejoice in the virtue of holy and ordinary beings. I beseech the Buddhas to remain and turn the Wheel of Dharma, and dedicate all merit to Great Benefit.

Embracing Change and Going with the Flow

In life, change is the only constant. As we navigate through different stages and situations, we are presented with new opportunities and challenges that force us to adapt and evolve. This is especially true for those of us living the van life, where we are constantly on the move and faced with unpredictable circumstances.
In Buddhism, the concept of impermanence teaches us to embrace change and let go of attachment to outcomes. By accepting that everything is in a constant state of flux, we can cultivate a sense of flexibility and resilience that allows us to go with the flow.
So how can we apply these teachings to our van life experiences? Here are a few tips:
Embrace uncertainty: Instead of stressing about the unknown, view it as an opportunity for growth and adventure. Remember that not knowing what’s ahead can be exciting and liberating.
Let go of attachment: Whether it’s to a specific destination or a certain lifestyle, try to release any attachment to outcomes. This will help you stay present and open to new experiences.
Practice mindfulness: Being present and aware of your surroundings can help you stay grounded and centered during times of change. Take a few moments each day to meditate, breathe, or simply observe your surroundings.
Trust in the journey: Have faith that everything is unfolding exactly as it should. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be in this moment and that the universe has your back.
Remember, change can be uncomfortable and even scary at times, but by embracing it and going with the flow, we can learn and grow in ways we never thought possible. So take a deep breath, trust the journey, and enjoy the ride!
